Being a startup we are looking to add a vibrant Marketing Manager to join our young business. You will ensure all marketing, events and campaign activity are implemented successfully, with the overall objective of increasing brand awareness, creating new sales and engaging customers.

The team consist of talented, experienced and energetic individuals and are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and are great at hitting targets, have a persuasive manner and the ability to build rapport with a variety of people.

What You’ll Do
  • Implement the email marketing/marketing automation strategy to increase engagement and create sales leads e.g. scheduling emails, segmenting lists, reporting and making recommendations for future activity
  • Writing marketing and campaign copy to promote our products and services
  • Manage social media activity across a range of platforms e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Contribute to the management of the website, writing and uploading content based on analytics, campaigns, contributing to the future development of the site.
  • Support with the production of marketing and campaign collateral e.g. copy-writing, proofreading to design and print materials.
  • Comfortable with SEO, Google and Facebook marketing.
  • Be comfortable with managing multiple brands and marketing strategies.
  • Running social media campaigns across all platforms
Who are you?
  • Strong analytical skills e.g. research and data segmentation
  • Good copy writing skills
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work accurately and with close attention to detail
Preferred Experience
  • 3 years digital marketing experience.
  • Construction/property development background huge advantage
  • Email marketing campaign experience.
  • Strategy Implementation
  • Content management system and digital marketing experience and knowledge
  • Social media campaign and account management.
  • Google analytics experience and reporting.
  • Marketing communications experience e.g. writing effective marketing collateral, promotional copy, etc.
  • SEO and writing for web – (desirable)
The package!
  • £18 000 - £21 000 per annum

Being a startup we are looking to add a ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us take our business to the next level! To grow our sales force, you will be responsible for building Skrap's client base with construction companies, property developers and commercial stores to join the skip hire revolution. Key for this person is to hit the ground running and great at hitting targets and have a persuasive manner plus have the ability to build rapport with a variety of people. To excel in this role you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.

Key responsibilities:
  • Identify potential business ventures for growth opportunities within existing client base as well as expand areas of business
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales
  • Prepare comprehensive tenders covering product requirements and pricing
  • Build on your client base within the commercial waste and construction space
  • Build relationships with businesses across the UK
  • Promote the company’s products/services
  • Working with the Marketing Team to enhance our lead pipeline and maximise visibility in a competitive market
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to drive origination and growth in the business and bring exceptional borrower experience to the table.
Key skills required:
  • Proven sales background in skip or construction hire experience
  • Be knowledgeable about the full range of products and services offered
  • Cold calls/site visits as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities which can be turned into increased sales
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Raise the company profile by attending trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Help to develop a strong sales ethos within the team
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Proven history of delivering strong growth and/or sales results
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • An ambitious and driven mentality who wants to push to beat targets with a hunter mentality.
  • Proven track record in execution of sales strategy.
  • The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, passionate about sales and ensure that outstanding sales results are achieved on a daily basis
  • A strong desire to work in Account Management, Sales or Business Development
  • Minimum 5 years + in similar role

Skrap is a London based b2b marketplace for the construction sector, and we are offering an exciting opportunity to become an early and key member of our Product/Tech team in an ambitious tech start-up taking on the construction hire industry. You will play a key role in moulding the existing business team in creating procedures and strategies to ensure the success of our scaling technology.

This is a unique role which requires someone with knowledge across the board and has the mentality to adapt, learn and improve existing product to become the market leader.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of software development and best practices. Object-Oriented PHP within a Modern MVC framework (Ideally Laravel).
  • Great experienced in Unit testing, PHPUnit.
  • Good experience with AWS
  • Hands-on experience with Design Patterns and APIs.
  • Able to effectively review other developers code and contribute with constructive feedback on code style, naming and design decisions.
  • Good knowledge of git workflows and comfortable using advanced git command line tools (rebase, bisect).
  • Good experience using modern Front End technologies like ES6, web pack, react.JS, and are comfortable writing modular JavaScript code.
  • Good experience with MySQL.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience working with Lean/Agile software development practices.
  • A proven history of delivering fully automated tests for web applications or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with Acceptance Tests Driven Development approach is a plus.
  • Experience working in workforce management product is a plus
